1. The Frost Gate: I swear I'm cursed at this mission because I always get zerged or Rurik dies if I take my sweet time at the end. Stupid Rurik.

2. Vizunah Square: I was tempted to put down Ring of Fire or Abbadon's Mouth in term's of what I've had difficulty with. However, Vizunah is just that mission that even though it's not really that hard, you absolutely hate it to death because it can go down so easily. Wears you out after 3-4 times through.

Vizunah Square - 2 teams for a mission is bad design.
Unwaking Waters - um yea see above

-- And all other missions in canthia for the masters time limits are just wrong.

Why do people think Hells is so hard :\
i done it 3rd time with my Ranger and 1st time with my ele(m+b) 1 warior left saying we wil never do it with these n00b monk, and left. :P but we got M+B

I did hell's precipice m+b with all four of my characters (even assassin) with all hench no problem

Funny ppl always get so worked up about time limits, IMO they are quite challenging, it gives me a great kick to complete a masters mission with 30 secs margin and it definitely requires skill too. You need a build for doing shit loads of damage and monking can be very difficult because ppl usually don't rest for regen. You have to make very quick decisions and you got to have fast fingers as well. With a good group time challenge certainly kicks major booty. Sometimes I do missions I already have at masters level just for fun to see if I can do it again in the required time, love it...

Tahnakai Temple and Thunderhead Keep.

Tahnakai Temple because all the groups i go in always aggro loads and never retreat despite being totally outnumbered.

Thunderhead keep because I was a ranger and couldn't find a good group and I crashed twice during the mission.

I found Arborstone pretty easy, failed it once with my ranger because Danika was surronded by the stone guys and died in about 10 secs. Theres a bug (or atleast there was) and the necro in my group got stuck under the stairs after the cutscene when you grab the urn.

Vizunah Square has fast become an immensely irritating mission for me; many times failed through no fault of the team I was on (other side screwed up) and it also cost me a Survivor because of stupid cutscene bug at the end, which still exist.

Other than that, the Maguuma Jungle missions make me want to go to sleep... thankfully can skip all of them.

The first time I did that mission, I had 7 henchies and the other team had 8 people. Everyone on the team of 8 died atleast once every area, while my henchies didn't die untill the end. I think we ended up 8 manning it... Or maybe we all died.

Well THK is hard because all you get is crappy groups, and Nahpui Quarter is hard to master

Minion Master and LEEEEERRRROOOOYYYY.

Thats all you need to master that mission... oh and pretty much all of Cantha. Where the hell are the enemies without corpses... or the ones that can actually kill minions easily. Good ol' Spectral Agony, even if it did have a few bugs associated with it.

Masters for Tahnnakai Temple took a long time until i got a team that was so dedicated to get masters that we tried it 3 times and all members stayed until it was done bc everyone felt that this party could make it even when we died 2 times. though it felt really fast we were only 3 seconds under 20 min.

Bonus for Dunes of Despair without the necrotic traversal trick. haven't done it the real way yet, but everytime when i'm bored i try it again.

3) Gyala Hatchery
One of the 4 missions that i need for Protector. Haven't tried it really hard bc you can do the easier kurzick side but it seems difficult.


2 hints for ppl having problems with Nahpui Headquarter.

If u don't care for Masters:
1) You can do it with henchies, just take no melee fighters. It is much easier then with real ppl.

2) On my solo farming tours in nahpui i noticed that you can starting at the left portal go to every location and kill nearly all guardians without killing the celestials. just walk past the monk celestial, its out of agro.

Thunder keep Just can't do it with henchies for some reason (Has anybody ever?)

Shiro in Factions so far (Can't seem to solo it I get real close but the henchies waist there celestial skills at first chance)

Advice on unwaking waters make sure you bring the (disrupting henchman if you solo and rangers mesmers if you team play)

THK is *easier* with henchies, and with bonus. /sigh
Vizunah isn't a problem with hench either - I've done it where both teams were one W/Mo and 7 henchies, got Expert. I've done it unnumerable times where the other team was a PUG or guild group & failed.
The only thing I've been unable to do with henchies (yet) is Dune's bonus, since henchies won't split up into two groups.

As for worst missions - anything with 2 separate groups that forces you to rely on the (in)competence of others. (If you can't tell already, I strongly prefer henchies to PUG's, and guild groups in my last two guilds were usually even worse than PUG's were...)

Has to be Vitzuna and currently the Hatchery mission where you have to escort the young turtles. There's always a lack of players there.


Btw nj Mister O, I've never even gotten the bonus on that b4 =P.

Ok, I'm going to post the worst 2 from my experiences.

1) Bloodstone Fen. Sure its easy now, but my first time through it took me 7 trys because all the PUGs didnt know not to aggro everything on the Bloodstone where Habilon is.

2) Unwaking Waters. The first few times I did it, it was simple because I had guildies come along. Now though it is impossible to find a decent PUG there.
